Clause vs Sentence
A clause is a grammatical unit that contains a subject and a predicate. That’s it !!. Only a subject and a predicate are needed. Depending on the predicator, other clausal elements may be present or absent.
A sentence is the largest independent unit of grammar: it begins with a capital letter and ends with a period, question mark, or exclamation point. A sentence must have AT LEAST 1 clause but may consist of an indefinite number of clauses. |
